Knitting
February Lady Sweater was a quick knit.
Funny thing, several months ago I told my friend Christine I wanted to make EZ's baby sweater from Knitter's Almanac in an adult size with fingering yarns. Next thing I know, there's a pattern on Ravelry by Pamela Wynne for an Adult February Lady Sweater in worsted weight. I had to make one. This one is made from Knit Picks Kettle Dyed Wool of the Andes in Spruce. Next one, for my DIL, will be also in worsted weight, yarn was ordered yesterday. It was a fun to knit and I want to knit one for me in fingering or sport weight, probably using a different lace pattern.
Handspun
How the colors change from roving to spun yarn. I thought there would be more white and purple, however the green is dominant. Today I took the yarn off the bobbin onto the niddy noddy. It hung perfectly straight. The singles were thick and thin and so is the plied yarn. I counted about 197 yards and 120 grams, 2 ply yarn. I might knit a narrow scarf. This wool was purchased from Morning Sun Fiber Barn, Wapello, IA at the Fiber Fair in Sedalia, MO on May 30.
Blocking
I'm just too lazy to get my lace blocked. Somebody want to block some shawls for me??
